LEXINGTON, Ky. - California State University San Bernardino women's volleyball junior outside hitter Kacie Pedersen (Riverside, Calif.) was named an Honorable Mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
The announcement comes after Pedersen earned All-CCAA First Team honors and was instrumental in helping the Coyotes reach another NCAA West Regional. She finished the season with 442 kills while posting a .255 attack percentage. Additionally, she recorded 291 digs, 39 blocks, and 35 service aces.
Pedersen was also the CCAA Offensive Player of the Week during the final week of the regular season. She was previously named All-West Region by both the AVCA and D2CCA, and was named Tournament Most Valuable Player after leading the Coyotes to its CCAA Tournament Championship last month.
This is Pedersen's first All-America honor.
