ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Six California State University San Bernardino men's soccer student-athletes were awarded All-Conference recognition by the California Collegiate Athletic Association on Wednesday afternoon.
Senior Tony Negrete (Hawaiian Gardens, Calif.) earned CSUSB's lone First Team honor. He had five goals and three assists while captaining the Coyotes in the regular season.
Sophomore Rafa Fonseca (Fontana, Calif.) was one of three Second Team selections for the Coyotes. He scored three goals and recorded three assists on the season. Redshirt freshman Damian Gonzalez (Whittier, Calif.) joined Fonseca on the Second Team. He scored four goals and added an assist during the season.
Anthony Morales (Orange, Calif.) rounded out the Second Team selections for CSUSB. He scored seven goals and added seven assists in the regular season, leading the team in both categories and currently ranks in the top five in the CCAA in both categories as well.
Redshirt junior Donovan Palomares (Boyle Heights, Calif.) was one of two Honorable Mention selections for the Yotes. He recorded 38 saves and posted a 6-1-7 record in goal with three clean sheets. He earned him CCAA Defensive Player of the Week honors on October 28 after a pair of shutouts.
Kenneth Livernois (Torrance, Calif.) also earned Honorable Mention from the CCAA. He started in every game for the Yotes and recorded the assist in the only goal in a 1-0 win at Biola on September 6.
The squad helped lift CSUSB to a CCAA Tournament appearance, and is currently vying for a berth into the NCAA Tournament.
