SEASIDE, Calif. - The #25 California State University San Bernardino men's soccer team played the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters to a 2-2 draw on Sunday afternoon at Cardinale Stadium in their CCAA opener.
With the draw, the Coyotes now sit at 5-1-3 and 0-0-1 in CCAA play.
CSUSB would strike first, with redshirt junior Mattheos Agapitos (Culver City, Calif.) scoring for the Yotes in the 18th minute on a penalty kick.
Cal State Monterey Bay tied the match 1-1 in the 52nd minute. CSUSB had a couple of opportunities both by senior Anthony Morales (Orange, Calif.), before the Otters took the lead in the 85th minute.
In the final minute, the Yotes were able to tie it up with a goal from redshirt freshman Damian Gonzalez (Whittier, Calif.), who was left unmarked at the back corner of the goal. Morales found Gonzalez, who headed the equalizer between the legs of the Otter goalkeeper with 38 seconds remaining.

Donovan Palomares (Boyle Heights, Calif.) turned aside seven Otter shots to earn the draw.
Up next, CSUSB faces Stanislaus State in their CCAA home opener on Friday. Kickoff at Premier Field is set for 12:30 p.m.
