WAIMALU, Hawaii - The California State University San Bernardino men's golf team competed in rounds one and two of the HPU Sharks Shootout Friday at the Pearl at Kalauao.
The Yotes find themselves in third place out of seven teams through 36 holes.
Sophomore 
Aaron Parayno (Fresno, Calif.) shot the low round for the Coyotes in each of the two rounds, starting with a five-over 77 before in round one before recovering with a round two even-par 72. At five-over for the tournament, he is tied for second overall in the individual field.
Redshirt freshman 
Steven Rivera (Fresno, Calif.) sits second among the Coyotes through 36 at nine-over. After a first-round 78, he shot a three-over 75 with four birdies in round two.
Junior 
Kamron Hopson (Redlands, Calif.) struggled to a nine-over 81 in round number one, but rebounded nicely with a 74 in round two to go to the final round at +11. He is one shot ahead of sophomore 
Tyler Price (Yucaipa, Calif.), who went 79-77 to sit at 12-over.
The Yotes will conclude their Hawaii swing and fall schedule on Saturday when they play the final round of the HPU Sharks Shootout. Tee times for round three are slated for 11 a.m. Pacific.
