CHICO, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino women's soccer team suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Chico State Friday afternoon in CCAA action at the University Soccer Stadium.
With the defeat, the Coyotes drop to 4-5-3 overall and 2-2-1 in the CCAA.
Chico State found the back of the net three times in the opening half to jump out to a commanding 3-0 lead at halftime.
The Coyotes scored their lone goal of the contest in the 54th minute. Off a
Jackeline Fuentes (San Bernardino, Calif.) free kick, sophomore
Sakiah Williams (San Bernardino, Calif.) tapped home her fourth goal of the season to put the Yotes on the board.
CSUSB would go on to outshoot Chico State 6-1 in the second half, but could not close the gap to less than two goals.

Ryann Munoz (Wrightwood, Calif.) turned aside a pair of Wildcat shots in the defeat.
The Coyotes will continue their northern swing on Sunday with a trip to Cal Poly Humboldt. Kickoff in Arcata is slated for 11:30 a.m.
