Match 1: #8 Cal State San Bernardino 3, Biola 0 (26-24, 25-21, 25-18)
The Yotes stayed perfect on their young season in the first match of the day, defeating Biola in straight sets.
The first set featured seven ties and two lead changes, with the second lead change coming as late as possible. The Coyotes used a 3-0 set-ending run to fend off a 24-23 set point thanks to a clutch kill from senior Ashley Robinson (Tucson, Ariz.) and a pair of Biola attack errors. Robinson led all players with five kills in the opening set.
The Yotes took advantage of 10 second set Eagle attack errors to take a commanding two sets to none lead. CSUSB was once again paced by Robinson, whose three kills included the very first and very last points of the set.
Six more Robinson kills in the third and final set helped the Coyotes close out the Eagles. The Yotes had just one attack error in the set, with 12 kills for an attack percentage of .282.
Robinson's 14 kills lead all players in the CSUSB victory, to go along with nine digs and a pair of blocks. Sophomore Kacie Pedersen (Riverside, Calif.) chipped in seven kills without an error on 14 attempts in an impressive showing, while junior Jordan Cherniss (Colton, Calif.) had five kills and a team-high 10 digs.

Match 2: #10 St. Cloud State 3, #8 Cal State San Bernardino 1 (25-11, 25-16, 19-25, 25-12)
St. Cloud State went wire-to-wire in the opening set, beginning on a 5-0 run and never looking back. The Yotes struggled to just six kills in the opening set, paced by Jordan Cherniss with three.
Looking to level the match, CSUSB led in the early stages of set number two, but the Huskies would eventually pull away once again. After the Coyotes took a 7-6 lead on an Allison Legates (Los Altos, Calif.) kill, St. Cloud State answered with a 5-0 run, and the gap never got closer than two points the rest of the set.
CSUSB's offense came to life in set three, as the Coyotes notched 14 kills and a .426 attack percentage to pull within one. Six different Coyotes record kills in the third, led by three each from Legates, senior Savannah Hoffmann (Rialto, Calif.), and sophomore M'Kera Drake (San Bernardino, Calif.).
The Yotes kept it close in the early stages of the fourth set, but the Huskies proved to be too much in the end. The hosts trailed just 9-7 early in the set, but St. Cloud State would scored 16 of the match's final 21 points to seal the deal. Robinson's three third set kills led the Coyotes.
Robinson again led CSUSB with eight kills, while Legates, Jordan Cherniss, and Drake all finished with six.
