Women's Soccer Draws with Fresno Pacific

FRESNO, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino women's soccer team notched its third consecutive draw on Monday evening with a 0-0 final score against Fresno Pacific University at Ramirez Field.

With the draw, CSUSB moves to 0-1-3 overall on the season.

The teams were even in the opening half, each recording five shots, but both goalkeepers stood tough to keep the opposition off the board. CSUSB held a narrow 3-2 edge in shots on goal.

The Sunbirds outshot CSUSB 5-4 in the second half, but again neither team found the net and the contest ended 0-0. Fresno Pacific led the Coyotes by a margin of 3-2 in shots on goal in the second half.

Senior Leila Peregrina (Chino, Calif.) got the draw for the Yotes, making five saves. She posts her second shutout in her last three appearances.

Junior Rebeca Cruz (Ontario, Calif.) led CSUSB with a pair of shots on goal in the draw.

Next up for the Coyotes, they will have a long break before facing Westmont on the road on Thursday, September 26. Kickoff is slated for 12:30 p.m.
