SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The 12th-ranked California State University San Bernardino men's soccer team played Vanguard University to a scoreless draw Thursday afternoon in a non-conference contest at Premier Field.
With the draw, the Coyotes remain unbeaten with a record of 1-0-2 overall this season.
The teams played an even opening 45 minutes, but neither team found the back of the net. Each team took five shots in the frame, with Cal State State San Bernardino landing the only shot on target.
In the second 45, both teams got great looks but still neither team could break through. The Lions held an 8-6 shot advantage in the second half, but senior netminderÂ
Aiden Hanes (Riverside, Calif.) turned aside all four shots on target.
Hanes finished the afternoon with a four-save shutout.Â
Next up for the Yotes, they will head to Concordia University Irvine for a 4 p.m. kickoff on Saturday afternoon.
