BILLINGS, Mont. - The California State University San Bernardino women's cross country team wrapped up its 2024 season on Saturday morning, competing at the NCAA Division II West Regional Championships at Amend Park.
Leading the way for the Coyotes was freshman
Gabriella Romero (Highland, Calif.), who ran a time of 22:25.7 on the 6k course. She was the only Coyote to have an average mile under six minutes, clocking in at 5:59.9 per mile.
The second Coyote finisher was junior
Kai Marroquin (Rosemead, Calif.), who placed 104th overall at 23:19.1. Marroquin was followed closely by sophomore
Jordan Dennert (San Bernardino, Calif.), who placed 117th at 23:33.8, a personal best by nearly 10 seconds.
CSUSB's fourth finisher was sophomore
Hailey Lynk (Banning, Calif.), who ran a time of 23:50.6 to place 132nd overall. In 140th was Coyote junior
Samantha Avila (Menifee, Calif.), who finished the race at 23:59.9.
Wrapping up the top seven for the Yotes were freshman
Angela Torres (Rialto, Calif.) and sophomore
Diana Vera (Colton, Calif.), who ran times of 24:13.8 and 25:37.3 respectively.
