FRESNO, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino women's cross country team finished the 6k CCAA Championships in eighth place on Friday morning at Woodward Park.
CSUSB's top finisher was freshman
Gabriella Romero (Highland, Calif.), who ran a time of 22:53.6 to place 26th overall.Â
Not far behind Romero was Coyote junior
Kai Marroquin (Rosemead, Calif.), who placed 36th at 23:14.8. Sophomore
Hailey Lynk (Banning, Calif.) was the third Yote to cross the finish line with a time of 24:05.2, placing 53rd overall.
In fourth for CSUSB was junior
Samantha Avila (Menifee, Calif.), who was 58th at 24:17.7, while sophomore
Diana Vera (Colton, Calif.) rounded out CSUSB's top five with a time of 24:52.9 to place 75th overall.
The last of the Coyote scorers were junior
Lidia Barrios (Perris, Calif.) and freshman
Angela Torres (Rialto, Calif.) who placed 77th and 79th respectively with times of 24:58.7 and 25:20.8.
Next up for the Coyotes, they will return to action on Saturday, November 9 with a trip to Billings, Montana for the NCAA West Regionals at Amend Park.
