Box Score TURLOCK, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Stanislaus State Friday evening in CCAA action at Warrior Stadium.
With the defeat, CSUSB drops to 4-4-5 overall on the season, and 3-2-2 in conference play.
Stanislaus struck first in the 37th minute and never looked back after a goal from sophomore Aliah Avila.
The Warriors added insurance with an 80th minute marker from junior Kellyann Rodriguez, giving the game its final score of 2-0.
Despite the defeat, CSUSB outshot Stanislaus State 12-11 during the contest. The shots on goal count was even at 6-6. San Bernardino held a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.
Coyote goalkeeper and reigning CCAA Defensive Player of the Week Leila Peregrina (Chino, Calif.) took the loss in net. She made four saves in the defeat.
Next up for the Coyotes, they will continue their trip with a Sunday morning visit to Chico State. Kickoff is slated for 11:30 a.m.
