HAYWARD, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Cal State East Bay Sunday afternoon in California Collegiate Athletic Association action at Pioneer Stadium.
With the defeat, CSUSB falls to 4-2-4 overall and 2-1-1 in the CCAA.
Neither team scored in the opening 45 minutes, but East Bay got on the board shortly after the half, as Julian Valle scored in the 47th minute to put the Pioneers on top 1-0.
In the 71st minute, Bennett Richards netted his second goal of the season for insurance as Cal State East Bay stretched their lead to a pair.

Aiden Hanes (Riverside, Calif.) took the loss in net despite a season-high seven saves.
Next up for CSUSB, they will travel to Cal State Dominguez Hills for a Thursday night contest at Dignity Health Sports Park, home of the Los Angeles Galaxy. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
