LOS ANGELES, Calif. – In the latest installment of the CSULA makeup series, the CSUSB baseball team fell to Cal State LA 7-9 on Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Yotes fall to 29-12 on the season and 20-11 in CCAA play. Having swept them last season and beating them twice earlier this season, Tuesday was CSUSB's first loss against CSULA since the 2019 season.

Riley Parker powered the offense, going 2-4 with two doubles and an RBI.
Jason Shedlock was the only other Yotes to collect multiple hits in the game, improving his batting average to .342 on the season.
Giovanni Del Negro also cashed in two RBI on a single in the top of the second inning. In total, the Yotes scored seven runs on eight hits.

The CSUSB pitching staff struggled to keep the Golden Eagle bats at bay, allowing nine runs to score in the first six innings.
Andres Quinones took the loss, his first of the season.
