SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB women's volleyball team swept Cal State San Marcos on Friday night, winning all three sets en route to their 11
th victory of the season. With the win, the Yotes rise to 11-3 with a 5-2 record in CCAA play. They're currently tied for third in the CCAA standings with a .714 conference win percentage, behind No. 20 Cal Poly Pomona (1.000) and Cal State LA (.857).
The Yotes dominated the match against the Cougars, maintaining the lead for nearly every single point of all three sets. The win completed their fourth sweep of the season, winning all three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-13, and 25-10.
The Yotes featured a balanced attack against the Cougars, with four different players recording at least seven kills.
Lydia Morohunfola put on an impressive performance once again, recording seven kills with a nearly perfect .875 hit percentage in the game. Moronhunfola currently owns a .428 hitting percentage on the season, which leads the CCAA and ranks 10
th in all of NCAA Division II.
Jenna Patton and
Ashley Robinson led the Yotes with nine kills each, while both players also lead the team with 116 and 117 kills on the season, respectively. Sophomore
Savannah Hoffman recorded eight kills in the game while posting a .538 hitting percentage, her highest of the season.
