SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB women's soccer team tied with Cal State East Bay on Sunday afternoon, with the score remaining 0-0 for the entirety of the match. The Yotes now hold a 5-2-1 record on the season with a 1-0-1 record in CCAA play.
In the first half, the Pioneers attempted seven shots, with four on goal - all saved by senior goalkeeper
Carly Luna. The Yotes attempted four shots, with two being saved by CSUEB's goalkeeper.
In the second half, the two teams continued to battle back and forth until the final minute. CSUEB attempted six shots, with only two on goal. Similar to the first half, the Yotes once again fired off four shots, with one being saved by the goalkeeper.
Nathaly Losada Lucumi led the Yotes' attack with three shots in the game.
The match would prove to be a stalemate as neither team would be able to score at the end of the 90
th minute. Luna finished the game with six saves, her second most of the 2022 season. The San Pedro native also collected her fourth individual shutout of the season.
