Yotes Earn 10th Win of the Season in Saturday Sweep

CARSON, Calif. – The CSUSB women's volleyball team earned their 10th win of the season on Saturday night, sweeping Cal State Dominguez Hills to improve to 10-3 on the season. With the win, No. 13 CSUSB becomes the fifth team in the CCAA to earn 10+ wins on the season, and currently holds the fourth-best overall win percentage in the conference at .769.
 
The Yotes dominated Saturday night's match against CSUDH by holding the lead for nearly every point of all three sets, resulting in scores of 25-18, 25-11, and 25-13. CSUSB accumulated a .380 hit percentage across all three sets, their second-highest hit percentage as a team behind their win against Cal Poly Humboldt on September 17th (.402).
 
After recording a career-high 15 kills last night, sophomore Ashley Robinson led the team once again with a new career-high of 16 kills. Robinson is now tied with Lydia Morohunfola for the team lead with 108 kills on the season, with Savannah Hoffman and Jenna Patton closely behind at 107 each. In addition to leading the attack against CSUDH, Robinson also recorded 12 digs, the second most of her career.
 
Junior setter Marlee Nunley recorded 42 assists against the Toros, her highest of the season. The Murrieta native now ranks sixth in the CCAA in assists per set at 7.43 with 394 assists in 53 sets. Nunley also recorded 15 digs in the match, the first time she's done so since also recording 15 on September 1st against Seattle Pacific.
