SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The CSUSB women's soccer team opened CCAA play with a 3-1 victory over the Stanislaus State Warriors. With the victory, the Coyotes improve to 5-2 on the season, including a perfect 4-0 at home, while Stanislaus falls to 3-2-2.

It was a balanced attack for CSUSB, as three different players scored a goal. First,
Jocelyn Galvan scored her third goal of the season in the 32nd minute. After Stanislaus tied it up at 1-1,
Alissa Torres scored her first goal of the year, becoming the 12th individual on the team to do so this season. Finally, after sitting at 2-1 for approximately 35 minutes,
Isabella Santa Maria scored the game's final goal, her second of the season.

The Coyotes were strong defensively as well. Despite allowing a goal at home for the first time this season, reigning CCAA Defensive Player of the Week
Carly Luna recorded a season-high seven saves, bringing her total on the year to 30, which ranks second in the CCAA.
