SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB women's soccer team defeated Cal State San Marcos in a non-conference game at Premier Field on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Yotes rise to 4-2 on the season while CSUSM falls to 2-3-2.
Nathaly Losada Lucumi broke the 0-0 score in the 47
th minute with an impressive bicycle-esque kick that snuck just over the goalkeeper's hands. Losada Lucumi was fed a perfect set up from
Rebekka Bogan, who earned the assist on the play.
The remainder of the second half featured intense back-and-forth play between the two teams, as both had multiple opportunities to score. Goalkeeper
Carly Luna recorded two saves down the stretch to keep the lead intact, finishing with five on the game and her third shutout of the season.
