GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The No. 2 Yotes traveled to Goodyear, Arizona to compete in the Palm Valley Classic at the 72 par Palm Valley Golf Course. In their last tournament before the CCAA Championships, CSUSB finished in sixth place of 16 teams.
Leading the pack was
Mark Williams who shot three-under par 69 in the first round and two-under par 70 in the last two rounds for a third-place finish.
Brian Nielsen scored on par 72 in the first round, and one-over par in the last two rounds for an overall score of 218.
David Marris shot a two-over par 74, one-under par 71, and a two-over par 74 on the tournament. The Yotes collected a tournament score of 867, 23 points away from first place, for a sixth place finish.
