"We dropped a tough loss against Chaminade" said coach Dee Payan. "We were ahead and leading into the 5th but couldn't close the door. Brooke Blackmon was phenomenal in the circle for us in the second game. She was commanding her pitches and attacking the zone. Our defense played really well behind Brooke and feed off of her energy.  Alyssa Martinez and Kaylee Williamson sparked up our offense with a couple base hits to get us in scoring position. Bailey Wallace came in clutch in a big moment and squared up a ball down the left field line to put us in the board."

CSUSB closes the Tournament of Champions tomorrow in Turlock as they take on the Hawaii Pacific University at 9 a.m.
