SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Yotes hosted the Cal St. East Bay Pioneers for their last home stand. CSUSB took the lead in the second inning and held on till the very end. CSUSB topped the Pioneers, 6-4.
Austyn Coleman was lead pitcher for the Yotes as he pitched seven innings collecting four strikeouts on 110 pitches. The biggest hit of the game was by Kyle Caskan who hit a home run in the second inning for a two RBI.
Derek Bogh then went on to hit a home run of his own in the second inning. The Yotes were not done with homers yet as
Garrett Macias hit it out of the park in the seventh inning.
CSUSB collected 13 hits, four RBIs, and nine assists on the game. Leading the Yotes in hits was both Csakan and
Jake Borst. Borst collected three hits, with one being a double. Csakan collected three hits, three RBIs, and with one double.
"What a great game. Great start by Coleman and we had some big hits" said coach
Mike Nadeau. "Kyle is unreal right now. Have not seen this in all my years coaching. Big series for us and we need to keep it going through the weekend."
The Yotes continue their series against Cal St. East Bay with a doubleheader tomorrow Saturday, April 30
th, at 11 a.m. at Fiscalini Field. The game will be streamed on ccaanetwork.com.
