SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Yotes closed their series against the Chico State Wildcats with a series tying victory. CSUSB was first to put points on the board and kept building the score gap throughout the game, winning 8-2.
Lead pitcher for the Yotes was
Raul Salazar who pitched for seven innings and 102 pitches collecting two strikeouts. With the victory Salazar now carries a record of 6-2 with a 4.85 ERA. CSUSB connected on 12 hits and seven RBIs on the game.
Kyle Csakan hit his fifth home run on the series in the third inning. Csakan's bats at .333 and a has collected 17 home runs up to this point in the season.
Jake Borst connected on two hits for two RBIs on the game.
Daryl Ruiz, who bats .310, also added two RBIs with one hit. The Yotes defense kept the Wildcats scoreless for the first seven innings with 27 put outs and 11 assists.

Mike Nadeau. "Raul was lights out again. He gave us seven innings with no runs allowed. Our bats came out hot in the first few innings giving us the lead and that gave Raul all he needed. Once again, a big blast from
Kyle Csakan. Hoping he gets big consideration for player of the week. That was a great weekend by him."
The Yotes are scheduled for their next game on Friday, April 22nd at 6 p.m. in Seaside against No. 1 Cal State Monterey Bay. The game will be streamed on the ccaanetwork.com.
