ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – The Yotes traveled to Rohnert Park to take on the Sonoma State Seawolves. CSUSB struggled to get on the scoreboard and fell to the Seawolves in both games.
For the first game, the lead pitcher for the Yotes was
Brooklyn Blackmon who had 99 pitches on the game collecting two strikeouts. CSUSB collected four hits and two assists on the game. Toreise Tosi lead the Yotes in hits with two on the game. CSUSB struggled to connect with the ball, falling to the Seawolves, 0-3.
In the second game of the doubleheader the leading pitcher for the Yotes was
Samantha Vargas who pitched four innings.
Sofia Gombos came in to pitch three innings collecting two strikeouts. The biggest hit of the day was by Alexisa Aguado who singled for an RBI. The Yotes connected on four hits and four RBI's on the game. CSUSB kept close to the Seawolves, but ultimately fell, 5-4.
"Two tough losses today" said coach
Dee Payan. "Our team is playing well, but offensively we are lacking timely hitting and we are leaving too many runners on base. We are looking too bounce back tomorrow."
CSUSB continues their series against Sonoma State on Saturday, March 25
