TURLOCK, Calif. – The Yotes flew to Turlock to compete against the Stanislaus State Warriors. Going into the game, CSUSB held an overall record of 13-10 against the Warriors. The Yotes were close to take the lead and although Stan State was never far behind, CSUSB took the victory, 55-46.
The game was as a clash from tip-off all the way to the final buzzer. In field goals, the Yotes went 18 for 51, collecting a 35.5 percent on the game. CSUSB connected on only three field goals more than the Warriors, as Stan State collected 15 total field goals. The Yotes hit six three-point shots and 13 free throws on the game.
It was a battle for boards with CSUSB grabbing 49 total rebounds against the Warriors 46 rebounds on the game. In the paint the Yotes scored 24 points while Stan State scored 22 points.
It was the difference in ball movement that put CSUSB in the winner's column. The Yotes moved the ball for 13 total assists on the game and scored 17 points bench points.
Samantha Henley led CSUSB in assists as she found her teammates for five, and had five rebounds, and three points.

Leading the Yotes in points was
Destiny Jackson who scored 11 points and had four assists, five rebounds, and one block. Right behind Jackson was
Tori Guzman who also led CSUSB in efficiency as she scored 10 points shooting 50% in field goals for an efficiency rating of 11.
Mia Dufresne scored was one point away from a double-double as she collected nine points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks.
CSUSB is scheduled to play their next game on Saturday, February 5
