LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The CSUSB women's soccer team tied with Cal State Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon with a final score of 0-0. The Yotes now hold a 6-4-2 overall record with a 2-2-2 record in CCAA play.
This is the second time this season the Yotes have finished with a scoreless game, the first coming on September 25
th against Cal State East Bay.
Sunday featured a very balanced match between the third place Golden Eagles and fourth place Yotes. CSUSB took 10 shots to CSULA's nine, while two of the Yotes' shots made it on goal.
Senior goalkeeper
Carly Luna and the defense shined as they did not allow any of the Golden Eagles' five shots on goal to make it to the back of the net. Luna earned her sixth shutout of the season on Sunday, moving up to fourth on CSUSB's single-season shutout list. It is also her 13
th career shutout, tying Leslie Rhodes (2004-2008) for fourth among all-time goalkeepers in school history.
