No. 15 Yotes Complete Weekend Sweep at Pomona

POMONA, Calif. - The CSUSB women's volleyball team won Saturday night's match against No. 17 Cal Poly Pomona by a score of 3-1, completing the weekend sweep over the Broncos to improve to 14-3 on the season. With their fifth consecutive win, the Yotes also improve to 8-2 in CCAA action, tying CPP for second in the conference standings behind only Cal State Los Angeles (9-1).

Just as Friday night's match began, CSUSB won the first two sets on Saturday by scores of 25-18 and 25-21, respectively. After falling to CPP in the third set 19-25, the Yotes rebounded nicely in the fourth set to win the set 25-16, and ultimately the match 3-1.

Setter Marlee Nunley racked up a season-high 49 assists against the Broncos, marking the second time this season she has collected over 40 in a match. The reigning CCAA Setter of the Week logged an impressive 88 assists over the last two games against Cal Poly Pomona, while also recording 10 or more digs in each match.

Ashley Robinson saw the career-high 17 kills she recorded last night and decided to set a new personal best, this time recording 18 kills. The sophomore also recorded 14 digs, marking her third consecutive game with 10 or more.

Redshirt senior Lydia Morohunfola continued to improve her hit percentage, going .474 on Saturday night to raise her season percentage to .426. This was her sixth match of the season recording a hit percentage over .400 while also recording 10+ kills. Morohunfola also ranks seventh in all of NCAA Division II in this category.

Jenna Patton also played a big part in the Yotes' attack, recording 13 kills with a .455 hit percentage on the night.
