CARSON, Calif. – The CSUSB men's soccer team fell to No. 4 Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sunday night in a close 1-0 game. With the loss, the Yotes fall to 4-3-3 overall with a 0-3-1 record in conference play. The Toros improve to an impressive 9-0-2 on the season while also sitting first in the CCAA standings with a 3-0-1 conference record.
Both teams struggled to get their shots on goal throughout the game. Out of the 25 combined shots, only five made it to the goalkeeper or the net. The Toros were able to score the only goal of the game in the 34
th minute, which would prove to be enough for the win.
Jeronimo Valdepena,
Nicklaus Sullivan, and
Brian Castillo each attempted multiple shots in the game, with Sullivan claiming all three of the Yotes' shots on goal. Goalkeeper
Aiden Hanes recorded one save, his 33
rd of the season.
