SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Yotes hosted the Cal State Los Angeles Golden Eagles as both teams are battling to make a post season appearance. The Golden Eagles were quick to score, but CSUSB held on for the first half. CSULA bursted into the second half and created a lead that the Yotes could not catch. The Golden Eagles took the victory, 76-65.
In the first quarter CSULA was the first to score off of a fast break and led by five points. CSUSB transitioned into a full court press and put the pressure on Cal State LA, scoring six of their own fast break points.

Destiny Jackson scored a layup from an assist by
Jaida Jackson.
Mia Dufresne sealed CSUSB's first lead in the game as J. Jackson also found her for a lay-up. The Yotes were still hanging in there with the score 42-35 going into halftime.
Cal State LA showed their shooting ability in the second half, hitting midrange jumpers and three-point shots. The Golden Eagles hit seven three pointers against the Yotes five. CSUSB had more ball movement collecting 18 assists and 17 points from the bench. The Yotes also dominated the paint, scoring 42 points from the down low. I would not be enough, as Cal State LA took the victory, 76-65.

Leading in scoring was D. Jackson who collected her season high 24 points and her season high six assists. She also put in the work down low, grabbing nine rebounds on the game. Also adding six assists to her stat sheet was J. Jackson who also scored 12 points. Another big time rebounder for the Yotes was
Mia Dufresne, who score 10 points, had 9 nine rebounds, and one block.
CSUSB is scheduled to play their next game on Saturday, January 22
