Yotes Fall In Overtime to Azusa Pacific

Men’s soccer battled into overtime against the Cougars, fall 2-1.

SAN BERNARDINO – The pace appeared to be balanced throughout the match between the Yotes and the Cougars. Early in the first half the Yotes would take the lead with a goal by Gerard Flores in the 16th minute, assisted by Kevin Aguilar.
 
After a great save by goalkeeper Juan Nieves, Azusa would play on to score a goal in the 22nd minute. The scoreboard remained 1-1 for the entire second half. Both the Yotes and the Cougars raced into overtime.
 
In a first goal the wins the match, Azusa would close out the match with a goal in the 94th minute. Nieves would finish the game with six total saves.
