SAN MARCOS – The Yotes travelled to Cal State San Marcos in a CCAA preview that resulted a Cougars win, 1-0.
Eduardo Rodriguez took a total of four shots with three shots on goal.
Jeronimo Valdepena was also on target with two shots on goal.
In the first half the Yotes took five shots before pushing the pace in the second half adding 10 more shots to their scorebook. The single goal of the match came in the 36
th minute for San Marcos, giving them the lead, 1-0.

Juan Larios, and Neil Hillies kept the Cougars scoreless for the remainder of the game. Yotes defensive pressure was not enough to overcome a 1-0 deficit.
"Today was not the result we wanted, but we walked away with a lot of positives from our performance" said Coach
Josh Hills. "This was a tough preseason, and it has taught us a lot about each other. We are ready to clean the slate and start fresh with conference next week."
The Yotes begin CCAA competition next week on Friday, October 1
