Box Score IRVINE, Calif. - The Yotes travelled to Irvine to face the Westcliff Warriors. In an intense battle, CSUSB was able to secure the lead in the fourth quarter, taking the away victory 61-54.
 
This game was similar to one the Yotes have won before. CSUSB defeated Chico State in The Den on Decemer 2^nd by only three points in the last seconds of the game. Westcliff was determined to battle to the last seconds also.
 
Throughout the game the score was tied seven times and the lead changed eight times. The Yotes were outrebound and the Warriors made sure to score off CSUSB errors. It would not be enough as the Yotes continue to prove they emphasis teamwork as their bench points was what sealed the deal. CSUSB downed the Warriors, 61-54.
 
The Yotes dominated in the paint scoring 26 points from the down low. The Yotes outscored Westcliff from their bench, with CSUSB collecting 13 bench points against the Warriors five bench points.
 
Leading all players in scoring was Tatianna Russell who scored 15 points and had nine rebounds and one block. Mia Dufresne put 12 points on the scoreboard while battling for eight boards and four blocks. Also scoring 12 points was Jaida Jackson who also had three assists and two steals.
 
The Yotes next competition is on Thursday, December 16th, against Cal State Dominguez Hills at 5:30 p.m. in Carson.
