Heading into the match the Yotes hold a 10-1 record against the Cal State San Marcos Cougars. The last match lost to CSUSM was back in 2017.
In the first set the Yotes held the Cougars to 17 points. CSUSB collected 18 kills hitting at .452 percent. The second set the Yotes defense kept CSUSM at 20 points. Although CSUSB hit at a significantly lower percentage than the first (.233), the Yotes won the set 25-20. The third set would look similar to the second. CSUSB connected for 21 kills on the set and won 25-20. The Yotes took the win in straight sets, 3-0.

Alexis Cardoza who collected 18 kills and had six digs.
Asia Clarke had a great offensive showing with 11 kills and seven digs.
Melissa Garciglia added eight points for CSUSB.
