INDIANAPOLIS – After their challenging yet invigorating CCAA Championship victory, the No. 2 Yotes are the No. 1 seed and will host the upcoming NCAA West Region Championship. As announced during the NCAA Division II Selection Show Monday, the West Region will be December 2

th in Coussoulis Arena.
The Yotes will make their 21
st-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and for the second time in a row, they will host. This will be the 11
th time they will host and first time it will be held in the remodeled Coussoulis Arena. CSUSB will defend their 2019 West Regional Championship and looks to add to their eight current titles to advance to defend their National Championship.
CSUSB will take on Alas. Anchorage at 7:30 pm on Thursday, December 2. Coming off their 2019 NCAA National Championship season and return from the pandemic, the Yotes went undefeated in CCAA competition, 18-0. They secured both the CCAA regular-season and tournament titles led by three-time CCAA Player of the Year

Eight eight-team regionals will be played at on-campus sites. Regional competition will be single-elimination, best three-of-five-set matches and will not include a third-place match. The winners of each of the eight regionals will advance to the finals, Dec. 9-11, in Tampa, Fla.
