SAN BERNARDINO, Calif - CSUSB would be first to light up the scoreboard when captain Frnacisco Sierra hit a goal off of a penalty kick in the third minute. The Gators would quickly fire back as they also went to score a goal in the third minute. Jeronimo Valdez made a hustle play that would take the lead for the Yotes scoring a goal in the 27
th. CSUSB led going into the half, 2-1.
The Yotes defense in
Andres Aguirre,
Rigo Aguilar,
Tony Di Donato, and Niel Gillies would keep the ball on the offensive end. It wasn't until the 72
nd minute that the Gators would score taking the game to a 2-2 tie. The game would go into overtime.
The overtime periods was a defensive effort on both sides as the Yotes took fours shots and the Gators took three. The match would end in a tie, 2-2.
As a team CSUSB would collect 15 shots with six of them shots-on-goal. Goalkeeper
Juan Nieves finished the game with three saves. Sierra finished the match with four shots, three of them on goal.
Kevin Aguilar and
Jeronimo Valdepena both collected two shots on the game.
