SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Before the match we celebrated our seniors and the positive contributions they for the Yotes on and off the field.
In the first half, both teams had a hard time finding the net. The last time these two teams met was in 2019 and the match ended in a double-overtime 0-0 tie. The Yotes were kept to only two shots on the half. The defense in
Tony Di Donato, Niel Gillies,
Andres Aguirre, and Tannor Knorr held the Otters to five shots. The score going into the second half was 0-0.
The second half played out in reverse of the first. The Yotes took five shots on the half while holding CSU Monterey Bay to only two shot. Although CSUSB was able to take more shots, they were not able to connect for a goal. The game went into double-overtime.
In double-overtime the Yotes were not able to score and neither could the Otters. The game ended in a tie, 0-0.
