ARCATA, Calif – The Yotes once again showed that their depth and versatility is hard to beat as CSUSB switched up the rotation against Humboldt State taking the win, 3-0.
 
In the first set the Yotes hit far below their average percentage, hitting at a .067. They would also see eight errors on the set. Humboldt State would take this opportunity and push CSUSB to their closest set of the game. Yotes determination outlasted the Lumberjacks as they took the first set, 25-23.
 
In the second set, outside hitter Ashley Robinson would join the Yotes and collect six kills. Jalyn Hayes also first stepped foot on the floor and added three kills of her own. The hitting percentage jumped drastically for CSUSB to .556. With the addition of these two hitters in rotation, CSUSB took the set, 25-11.
 
The Yotes continued the momentum they created in the second set and went for a total of 17 kills in the third set. CSUSB's ability to switch the rotation and rely heavily on each member of their roster was too much for Humboldt State, as the Yotes won the last set, 25-18.
 
Alexis Cardoza tallied a double with statistics in offense and defense against the Lumberjacks. Cardoza finished the match with 11 kills and 13 digs. Hayes collected seven kills on the match and Leilia To'omalatai added 17 digs. Marlee Nunley kept the offense in motion as she collected 30 assists. Kylie Thomas joined the Yotes setting for five assists and had 7 digs.
