HAYWARD, Calif. - The Yotes were quick to set the pace and score in the 25
th minute of the game. The Pioneers would not be able to connect for the remainder of the match. The Yotes took the victory, 1-0.
CSUSB maintained control of the tempo as they pushed the pace early in the match. The Yotes took five shots in the first half with three of them on-goal. In the 25
th minute of the match,
Gerardo Flores hit the single goal of the match off of an assist by
Juan Larios. CSUSB went into the half leading, 1-0.
The Yotes once again put the pressure on the Pioneers, this time on both ends of the field.

Neil Gillies kept Cal State East Bay to only two shots in the second half.
With the defense keeping the Pioneers out of the net, the Yotes went for 10 shots in the second half. Captain
Francisco Sierra took four shots on the game and Di Donato took two shots on the game. CSUSB sealed another CCAA victory, 1-0.
"We were happy to see the team get a result, but we need to clean some things up moving forward" said coach
Josh Hill. "These trips come and go fast so we have to redirect our focus towards Sunday."
The Yotes next match is at 2pm on Sunday, Oct. 24
