SEASIDE, Calif. - CSUSB traveled to Seaside to compete in the CSU Monterey Bay Otter Invitational. In the 72-par Bayonet Golf course, the Yotes took first place against 15 other teams.
As a team the Yotes had a tournament score of +25, winning by a single stroke against the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
Mark Williams hit the best score on the weekend for the Yotes tying for third place overall in the individual leaderboard. For the first two days of the tournament, Williams hit one-under-par for a 71. His last day of the tournament he shot a four-over 76, finishing the tournament with a score of +2.
Next on the leaderboard for the Yotes was
Jetty Sivongsay who finished tied for fifth place. Sivongsay hit 75 on the first round, 71 on the second, and hit a +2 on the last round. His tournament score was a 219 for a +3.
David Marris moved four spots up in the last day of the tournament finishing in the top 15 against 91 players. Marris finished the tournament tied for 11
th place with a total score of 223 for a +7 on the course.
This was the Yotes top finish on the season as they prepare to fly over the pacific to compete in the Dennis Rose Invitational in Kona Hawaii. The Dennis Rose Invitational will be hosted on the Waikoloa Kings' Nine course on Sunday, October 24
th through Tuesday, October 26
