SAN BERNARDINO – The No. 1 CSUSB Coyotes hosted CSU San Marcos in their home opener on Friday night and brought all the entertainment anyone needed, moving past the Cougars 3-0.
Sascha Dominique led the Yotes, who hit .255, in kills with 10 as Alexis Cardoza added eight and Mikaela Grove had six. Dominique recorded eight blocks, a category CSUSB led 10-5. Leilia To'omalatia added 11 digs, which the Yotes led 47-41.
"Everyday we work to get wins so we are happy about that," Dominique said. "There are some things we can improve on, but looking forward to everyone coming back out and doing it again tomorrow."
The Yotes took set one, 25-12, and followed 25-15 and 25-18. They only committed 12 errors, exactly four in each set.
They continue their homestand tomorrow night as they host UC San Diego at 7 pm.
