SAN BERNARDINO – The No. 1 CSUSB Coyotes kept rolling along on Saturday night, defeating visiting UC San Diego, 3-0 inside Coussoulis Arena.

CSUSB cruised through the first two sets, 25-12 in both, and then took set three 25-22 in a close affair.  Alexis Cardoza led with 13 kills and Moira Murphy added nine and Stephanie Doak had eight.  Mehana Ma'a had 21 assists and Leilia To'omalatai dug 14 balls. 

The Yotes dominated at the net, 13 blocks to six, with Mikaela Grove and Jalyn Hayes sending back six each.

"It was a great team win tonight against a quality opponent," Ma'a said.  "We played well on defense and some hard work paid off."

CSUSB will play three matches next week, with the final two at home, but will begin at Cal Poly Pomona on Tuesday night at 7 pm.  Live links are on CSUSBathletics.com.
