SAN BERNARDINO – The No. 1 CSUSB Coyotes claimed their fourth-straight CCAA Championship and 15
th in program history on Saturday night in a fantastic five-set win over Cal State LA.
The Yotes came out hot and controlled set one, 25-17, but the Golden Eagles flipped the switch in set two and the Yotes got going again late in set three but dropped that 23-25. The momentum carried though as CSUSB won 25-15 and 15-6 to claim the match.
The Yotes hit .295, but again their prowess at the net was their fueling factor as they led in blocks, 17-4.
Jalyn Hayes, who was named All-Tournament, had nine blocks and
Lydia Morohunfola had eight. Tournament MVP
Alexis Cardoza had 17 kills hitting .400, All-Tournament selection
Stephanie Doak had 12, getting hot in the last two sets when CSUSB need a push.

Mehana Ma'a added 25 assists.
"Tonight was a great match, it was very high octane with big swings and some dynamic defensive plays," CSUSB head coach
