SAN BERNARDINO – They had to wait a while, but once they hit the court the No. 1 CSUSB Coyotes disposed of Chico State in three sets in the CCAA Quarterfinals at home on Thursday night.
The first three matches of the day all went five sets setting up a hour delay to the scheduled start time, but on the court the Yotes hit .410 as a team with
Lydia Morohunfola hitting .714 with 11 kills.
Alexis Cardoza added 12 kills at a .360 clip and
Stephanie Doak chipped in seven at .312.
The Coyotes, who won 25-17, 26-24, and 25-17, dominated in blocks, 10-2, with Morohunfola stuffing five.
Leilia To'omalatai dug 14 balls with just one error.
"Our setters did a great job giving us tons of options," Morohunfola said. "The communication on the court was great and it put us in great position to attack."
