CARSON, Calif. – The No. 1 CSUSB Coyotes won swept CSU Dominguez Hills on the road on Saturday night, 3-0.
The Yotes battled to a 25-22 set one win, but then picked up the pace taking set two 25-15 and set three 25-13.
Alexis Cardoza tallied 11 kills and
Kaili Scott had five, with
Moira Murphy adding four.
Marlee Nunley served two aces to go with her 19 assists. Scott led in blocks with five and
Mehana Ma'a led with 11 digs, as Cardoza got another double-double with 10.
The Yotes hit .345 as a team including an impressive .520 in set three with just one attack error in 25 attempts. They dominated at the net, 10-3 in blocks, and led in digs, 43-36. Scott hit .714 with five kills in seven attempts and Cardoza stayed red hot hitting .435 with just a single error in 23 swings.
