SAN BERARDINO – The No. 13 CSUSB Coyotes controlled the match from start to finish in a 4-0 win over CSU Dominguez Hills.
Frank Daroma scored in the 18
th minute on an assist from
Jonathan Garcia. It was
Kevin Aguilar from
Joseph Hollimon in the 36
th minute and just before half
Jeronimo Valdapena scored on a long ball from
Brandon Sangbarani.
Francisco Gomez converted a penalty kick in the 50
th minute for the final goal. The Yotes led in shots on goal, 10-4, and
Jacob Huber made two saves as he combined with
Carlos Barrera for a shutout.
"Despite the score line, I was a little disappointed in our overall performance today," head coach
Darren Leslie said. "It is never easy when the wind is blowing as hard as it was on Premier Field, but I felt we were uncharacteristically sloppy coming out of the back and were fortunate not to be a goal down inside the first five minute. Thankfully we settled down after the initial 15 minute spell and once we finally got our foot on the ball we had control of the game. We will regroup on Tuesday and prepare for another tough weekend with SFSU and Humboldt State coming to town."
The Yotes, who have not lost a match in October, will host San Francisco State on Friday at 3 pm. Live links are on CSUSBathletics.com.
