SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes put together an outstanding all-around performance on Sunday after at Premier Field, downing Concordia (CA), 4-0.
The scoring got started for CSUSB in just the 16th minute when Danny Ortiz slipped Fabian Roman a great look in the box, which Roman deposited through the right side. 15 minutes later Ortiz got his third goal of the year, taking a similar pass from Cesar Figueroa and sending it home low on the right side. Four minutes in the second half Jonathan Garcia took a ball from Ortiz off the keeper and sent home a beautiful chip shot from 30 yards out over the keeper's head. The Coyotes capped the scoring in the 61st minute as Jesus Ortega beat the keeper to a great pass from Ortiz and chipped it into the open net.
Jacob Huber pitched the shutout for CSUSB, his first of the season, making two saves. CSUSB led in shot 12-11, taking five on goal, scoring in four of them.
