SEASIDE, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes got off to a tough start on Sunday morning at CSU Monterey Bay, and never recovered, falling 1-3.
The Otters scored two minutes in and again in the 18th minute to go ahead early. The Yotes got on the board in the 66th minute on a penalty kick from Danny Ortiz. CSUMB got their final goal in the 86th minute.
The Coyotes matched the Otters in shots on goal with seven, and Ortiz had a shot saved and Juan Larios missed wide and Francisco Sierra missed high before CSUMB got their second goal.
CSUSB (10-5, 7-3 CCAA) finish their season on the road this week, looking to secure a first round home CCAA Playoff game. They start at CSU Dominguez Hills on Thursday at 7 pm.
