SAN BERNARDINO (April 11, 2017) — David Alonzo delivered a grand slam and finished with six RBI as CSUSB routed Concordia 17-8 in nonconference baseball Tuesday night at Fiscalini Field.
CSUSB now takes its 10-25 and 8-15 CCAA records into this week's conference series at Stanislaus State.
The Coyotes reached a season high in runs and manufactured a hit barrage with 17 hits.
Dominic Campeau,
Lucas Martinez and
Jordan Simon all had three hits, while
Daniel Romo and Alonzo both had two hits. Both
Kristian DeLaTorre and Romo had three RBI each.
CSUSB batted around twice — scoring four runs in the second, and nine runs in the fourth. The Coyotes sent 11 to the plate in the second, and erupted with 13 batters in the fourth.
Leading 7-6,
Jordan Simon brought in the first run in the fourth on a bases-loaded single. That brought up Alonzo, who blistered a shot over the left-field wall for his first home run on the season.
Seven Coyotes appeared in the game. Reliever

Concordia slipped to 18-17.
