SAN BERNARDINO (Nov. 4, 2017) — Senior Night capped an unbeaten home season for the Coyotes, who defeated visiting Cal State Dominguez Hills in three sets Saturday night.
The record
CSUSB won its sixth straight victory, its 29
th straight home match and improved to 17-7 overall and 13-3 CCAA. The Coyotes take the CCAA South's top seed into the conference tournament in two weeks in San Francisco State, after finishing the regular season Friday night at Humboldt State (3-17, 2-11). CSUDH dropped to 12-12, 8-7.
Monster at Coussoulis
CSUSB played 28 home sets and finished the 2017 season 27-1 in sets played at Coussoulis. The only time the Coyotes were extended past four was Friday night against Cal State LA.

Senior OH
Lauren Nicholson led the Coyotes with 16 kills as CSUSB hit .299 on 46 kills, 14 errors in 107 attacks. Junior MB
Hailey Jackson had 10 kills with two block assists. Freshman
Alexis Cardoza followed with seven hills and
Sascha Dominique had five kills. Junior S
Jayann DeHoog dealt 38 assists, and Cardoza had two service aces.
Turning point
Leading 1-0, CSUSB and CSUDH were tied at 16 apiece in the second. Cardoza sandwiched two kills around her block assist with Jackson and the Coyotes were on their way to a 2-0 lead.
