SAN BERNARDINO (Oct. 8, 2017) — CSUSB broke through the .500 barrier Sunday by capturing its fifth win in the last six games in Sunday's 3-1 win over Humboldt State on Senior Day at Premier Field.
How it went down
Senior
Tony Lo remained red-hot scoring his third goal in the last two games with two against the Lumberjacks. He came through on a steal from the Jacks' GK in the 19
th minute on his first strike, then drilled one on a give-and-go from
Humberto Salcedo in the 76
th minute that gave CSUSB a 3-0 lead.
Nicely done Mr. Ortiz
Junior
Danny Ortiz connected on a PK in the 20
th minute; his fifth goal of the season.
Where the record stands
CSUSB is now 7-6 overall and 5-3 CCAA heading into this week's games at Stanislaus State (Friday) and Chico State (Sunday).
Defense never rests
CSUSB was stellar on the defensive end, allowing only three SOG by Humboldt State (6-5, 3-4).
