SAN BERNARDINO (Oct. 6, 2017) — CSUSB fired off eight shots on goal in the second half and Tony Lo made sure one of them counted in the Coyotes' victory over visiting Sonoma State in CCAA play Friday afternoon.
 
What it means
CSUSB improved to 6-6 overall and 4-3 in the CCAA, while the Seawolves dropped to 5-5-2, 2-3-1.
 
How Lo went down
Lo positioned himself in tight in the 62^nd minute and received the ball on assists from Danny Ortiz and Kevin Aguilar. The goal was Lo's third on the season.
 
Nicely done
Sophomore GK Jacob Huber had three saves for the shutout and also improved to 6-6 on the season.
 
What's next
CSUSB completes its home regular season schedule Sunday on Senior Day against Humboldt State. Seniors Lo, Kieron Coleman, Hieu Ngo, Ramon Chavez, Christian Vega, Ross McGuigan, Humberto Salcedo and Isaias Castellanos in a pregame ceremony.

"No hiding the fact that today's win was a critical one,'' head coach Darren Leslie said. "Our desire was lacking and we addressed it at halftime. Came out in the second half and put on a solid display to win. Just a great team performance and proud of everyone's effort. But our effort and results won't matter if we can't turn around and give another huge effort against Humboldt State on Sunday. We have a challenge each and every game left on the schedule.''
